Frostburg Activities

Come enjoy the magic of the mountains and the lights in Frostburg, MD!  The first ever Christmas Light railbike experience.   We will depart from the historic Frostburg Depot which will also have a variety of vendors inside in The Olde Depot Christmas Market.  Stroll across the street to The Tunnel Hotel and  purchase some hot cocoa, hot dogs, chili, etc etc..

Once it’s time to board up we will hop aboard the railbikes, unlike our other excursions this event is sold by the seat, per person rather than per railbike.  We will have 5 – 6 bikes connected together with our tour guide on the front bike to set the pace and coast down the mountain enjoying over 100 light features along the way.

Once we reach the end, a short walk down to the shuttle busses is required where we will board up and get transported back to the depot to browse the vendors, grab a treat or hit the road to your next adventure

Over 15 miles of track mostly on a downhill grade (the last 3/4 mile will require some effort) The route includes beautiful scenery through the Allegheny Mountains of Western Maryland. We will go over bridges, through The Brush Tunnel, coast parallel to the Great Allegheny Passage, & pass through The Narrows.
